The Shelter Of God's Promises by Sheila Walsh
The book was inspiring by far-not exactly a 5 star but one that was easy to understand and relate to. The book starts out as she explained a hiking trip her and her friends went on. She explained how everything goes through a period of time and about surviving the elements while having something to believe in. Sheila also has subtle light humor. She explains a lot of the bible and incorporates it into her travels. She has traveled many places, and has preached to all kinds of life. She goes back from bible scriptures to telling of her own story and the people she has encountered. I must say I did not like the one chapter when she was telling of torment and used the scripture of possession, that was a powerful chapter to explain, which was very well done-I just didn't care for it, that has always been a touchy subject for me and i never like reading about it even if it is just in passing. I do recommend the book, though it does get a bit tedious. She does a fantastic job in her writing, and switching back and forth from her story to scripture. The ending leaves you with a sense of peace and faith, but also (at least for me) question.
